Kitten Was Dropped Off At Shelter With A Surprise Hidden Under A Towel
At a North Carolina shelter, a kitten was dropped off in a carrier with an unexpected surprise.
The people who dropped off the tabby kitten at the Sparkle Cat Rescue, registered him and then left the place.
The shelter staff checked the kitten without even noticing the unexpected surprise he brought.
The tiny kitten was about three weeks old, so he needed special foster care.
So, the shelter contacted one of their volunteers, Sarah Kelly, who, at that time, was at a Barnes & Noble book store. They asked Sarah for help to feed the kitten.
“As we were headed over to pick him up, we were talking about how we wished it had been a pair and how cute it would be to name them Barnes and Noble.” Sarah told Love Meow in an interview.
A few minutes later, she received another call from the shelter with a surprise she had been asking for.

The shelter told Sarah that they had found another kitten inside the carrier. The second kitten was hidden under a towel, as a wrapped gift. When the staff removed the towel they discovered a second kitten about two or three weeks older than the first kitten.
They had no information about the second kitten since the people who left them only registered one.
The two kittens are tabby and very similar, but the staff noticed they are from different mothers.
As expected, the kittens were named Barnes (the youngest) and Noble (the eldest.)
Barnes and Noble are not from the same litter, however, they are very close. From the beginning the youngest seeks refuge in the eldest. They both sleep together, they are inseparable. They became brothers of different mothers.
The kittens are in good hands and have now begun to explore their temporary foster home. They will be under Sarah’s care until they are ready for adoption.
For now, they love their toys and venture together. They will continue together forever as the shelter will put them up for adoption as a pair in one.
