Soldier Brings Stray Puppy Home From Iraq And Meets Him In Heartwarming Reunion
Soldier forms a strong bond with a stray puppy, so he brings him from Iraq to adopt him.
Army Specialist Ken Wyrsch was in Iraq serving his tour of duty. For him, being thousands of miles away from his home in California was somewhat nostalgic. However, he met a very particular friend near the base where he was based.
Ken found a stray puppy and decided to take care of him.
From that moment on, the puppy named Ollie helped Ken feel more at home. Ollie was of a sweet and loyal personality, so he quickly became popular among the troops.
When the soldiers went on a mission, Ollie calmly waited for them to return and then receive them with their characteristic tail movements.
After several months, Ken finished his tour of duty, so he was sent back home. Surely, it was not easy for Ken to say goodbye to his friend Ollie.
But his concern got worse once he learned that there would be a base closure. That would mean that Ollie would be homeless again and would wander the streets of Iraq again.

Ken was disconsolate because he knew that there are strict laws that prevent dogs from boarding a plane and flying to the United States, but he soon had an idea.
He decided not to abandon his friend and asked SPCA International for help. And they soon set out to campaign to rescue Ollie.
Ken was worried that Ollie would return to the streets because he had a kind personality and was not prepared for danger anymore.
Fortunately, after receiving the necessary donations, the SPCA was able to make Ken’s dream come true…
Ken and Ollie met again in California in a warm reunion.
